Seems like an age since I posted any news but I've been away at Art N Soul in Portland having a great time taking classes and nattering away with friends - and of course buying lots of yummy stuff at Vendor Night!
I took three classes in all, Robert Dancik's Bead Like No Other, Carla Sonheim's Icon Painting Class and Lisa Call's Jewelery You Can Fuse.
Each class was different and exciting with plenty to learn and lots of tips and tricks to take away for future use. I felt pretty pleased with the way my painting came out - since I DONT paint or draw - unless it's with pixels and I loved the bracelet and earrings I made in Lisa's class. She is a wonderfully vibrant teacher with LOADS of information to share. The beads I created in Robert's class are not yet finished so I will post pics of them when they are!
Well I'm almost unpacked and sort of got the house back into shape but need to get ready to head off into the city...we are going to see Madonna tonight at MSG, so that will be fun!
Ciao for now

Love the painting and the jewelry and can't wait to hear about Madonna - how exciting.

Welcome back! Great piece of art, love the colours and esp. the face! And the jewellery is fab; have you worn them yet? I saw Madonna in concert here in Toronto back in 1991 and she was amazing; hope you have a great time!

Hello Marie! I am slowly starting the unpacking and came across the lovely felted heart pin...thank you! I can see this pinned on my coat or hat...just the right splash of color on our dreary rainy days.
Your bracelet and earrings turned out great!
