I recently bought this little fella off Ebay from a seller by the name of triciajpug. She has regular auctions of her art doll "ornies" - as she calls them. They are all cute and very different.
The artist's name is Patricia Anders and you can see her fabulous art work on her website at Art Propensity
"Screw Loose" as he is called was a little on the lonely side, so inbetween photoshop layers, I paused now and then this week to create him a pal. Her name is Miss "Bad Hair Day Baby" She is not exactly the same as her handsome partner but I think they look sufficiently similar to feel good about getting out and about together!
Hats off to Patricia and her wonderful dolls. Whilst creating the extra structure to overlay onto the doll was not hard, painting the face to achieve depth and the subtle colours was not easy at all and it's still not quite right. I think I will be hunting for future additions to the doll family in the same way I acquired the first one!!
...your doll is great. I wonder what material you have used for it. How do you make the hairs? I love looking at your typepad every day and I can't wait to see the new stamp plates!
