Hubby and I took advantage of the lovely rainless day today and headed south to Maryland to see what we could find in the way of outdoor fun and new scenery. We were not disappointed. We passed through Easton (MD), a quaint little town with a number of fab galleries and shops and then drove down to St Michaels. Seems like you need a kewl MILL or 16! to weekend there in any great style, but we did manage to find a lovely spot to consume a few beers, some delicious shrimp, crab and my totally FAVE - "poppers". I was in 7th heaven, sitting in the sunshine, listening to the squealing gulls and the lap of water against the moored boat hulls. Made me homesick for a good sail on the river, but the vicarious moment was not half bad!
Oh and yesterday...I DID IT!!!....finally took the plunge, went to Calumet Photographics in Philly and bought my SooperDooper Epson 7800 printer. Should be delivered in about 10 days time, after I get back from Portland. Oh LaLa, I am 'quite' excited - who says size does not matter ??? :-)
St Micheal's brings back wonderful memories for me. When we lived outside Baltimore, we took the boys to St. Micheal's on Halloween weekend. We used to stay at the Kemp House Inn!
