It's been perfectly balmy weather up here for the last few days. Nice to be able to be out and about without so much as a jacket!
I fear though, things are about to change. All day the geese have been trooping across the skies overhead, squawking and calling to each other as they head south. The chill must be on the way!
And I got mildly chided by hubby today for not creating much in the way of art while he has been gone. Usually I would take advantage of the lack laundry, dinners to cook or any other domestic duty to be performed and hole up in the studio from the moment he'd left the house until about 5 minutes before he gets back, but really this nasty cold/flu/bug has had the better of me for the last 10 days and sleep has seemed way more attractive than anything else I could think of!
...anyway I do feel better these past two days! ...and did create a new piece today, a digital collage with this lovely little ballerina. She is taken from an oil painting by Angelo Morbelli (1899). The other elements in the composition are pulled from some of my antique botanical prints, an old London theatre poster and some plaster of paris background that I coloured with Adirondack colour wash.
Oh, and I made the new Snowflaky Winter header for the blog...way past due for a change there!
