There's no doubt that the appearance of sunshine and temperatures above the 50's improve my mood, as well as my creative MOJO!
I spent today in the company of my trusty fabric shears and sewing machine, whipping up a couple of totes. The first was pieced together using store bought fabrics (part of the massive stash in the basement that DH does his best to ignore)! The second was a little more a little more of a creative escapade and came about as I was tidying up bits pieces strewn all over the floor. Among them were snips of denim and the AHA light bulb went on, and I figured piecing the denim bits together might make for an interesting look........... ergo the re-cycled jean tote was born!
I liked the challenge of collaging? fabric from different chopped up pieces to create the whole, including using the bib tabs, various pockets and different denims.
I've put them both for sale in my ETSY STORE if you are interested in owning a one of a kind creation!
EDIT: The Recycled Journal Bag is SOLD - thank you :-)
These are great Marie! Gives me an idea how to use "more" of my stash!!!! Thanks for your comment on my blog.

Hello Marie - By the time I opened e-mail this morning and then slipped over to your etsy shop, all three of your jean totes were sold! I'm no seamstress, but I could tell they were well made. I loved the way you designed them as well.
I'll have to keep my eye on you for any new ones that pop up *smiles*

Marie, that is a creative way of using your collage skills, can see why the jean bag went so quickly it has such a fun little personality.

Marie, your work is always so exacting and professional. These totes are interesting in detail and pretty in design. I like the top one with the quilty look and the bottom one takes me BACK, baby!
to before I was born, of course.

Oh Marie, I love them both. I really like the idea of re-purposing items, and the jeans bag is just toooooo cute. Oh, and I like the way your mind bounces...you've got quite the range! **blows kisses** Deb
