Always in search of something new to create texture and backgrounds - I've been messing around with masking tape today. It makes a great substrate for printing on and you can get quite creative in the brush department too.
And while blog browsing, I found this over at Kind Over Matter and thought you might enjoy it!
Yes, Marie... thanks for the words... I will still discover myself at this time. Hugs to you... wish I could be in NY this time!

What a happy painting. Love the colors and the brightness. Oh yes, discover who you are...it's a life long journey! **kisskiss** Deb

happy, sunny wednesday! have you tried rosin paper(home depot lowes) Lynne perrella's all time favorite. used in roofing. cheap man-handleable -comes in a large 36" wide roll . cut, tear, gesso, glue stuff on for heavy texture. layers of paint and whatever else you want to pile on! and fun.

This is a beautiful effect, Marie! It looks like a watercolor painting on soft fabric.
Now I have a reason to replace my empty ink cartridge so I can try it!
