Nature possesses far more variation and invention than we do...
for an artist, it's a matter of seeing and choosing.
The top image is one of my Trader Joe's Gerbera flowers - straight out of the camera. The other is the same image reinterpreted by way of a little Photoshop, Corel Painter and, ha - my imagination.
I love the endless possibilities.
Love what you've done with this image.

Marie, I think this is one of my favorite of your images! Gerber daisies are my favorite flower, and of course, TJs is my favorite store. But you have really bumped up the yummy on this flower! It's a sweet image to have at my disposal for when the daisies droop and it's cold outside.
Basically, what I'm saying is that I need you to do one for me in red, fuschia, gold, and purple.
I'll wait here.

Both images are beautiful - examples of both Nature's grace and your artistry.

First off can I just say, you took an excellent photography to begin with, it's wonderful in and of itself.
Second, what a beautiful piece of art you're imagination came up with just beautiful.

Beautiful! Your work is so inspiring!

I see you've used the "Fantastic" filter, powered of course by Imagination! It's the best kind of processing a photo can have.
It almost looks as though you've gone in with a sepia Micron pen and etched in the shading. If I had that image in hard copy illo board in front of me I'd get in there and go crazy with more stippling - now my OCD is showing, ha!
Beautiful treatment of a beautiful subject.
