My bags are unpacked and the laundry is all done. Staring out of the window this afternoon and I see my garden which is looking rather forlorn and a little unloved. Unfortunately it's cold, wet and rainy so I have had a good excuse to stay indoors and attack some more of my Morocco pix - as if one needs an excuse? right?
On this particular afternoon we headed off down the beach in Essaouira to catch some action with the local windsurfers. Sadly the little bay was too tranquil and so we walked some good few miles to get around the point to where the wind was.
I'm not so fussed over snapping kite and windsurfers as they are a dime a dozen at Perth beaches, nonetheless, there was plenty of eye candy and a stunning sunset to cap off the day.
Along the way we had an interesting encounter with some playful youths who got a bit too caught up in themselves and WE ended up having a less than pleasant encounter with a gendarme who was all set to swipe pictures and get nasty. Fortunately it all turned out OK....but brushes with the law in foreign countries are never too savoury at the best of times!!
Anyway, here are a few of that afternoon's best ......
I guess people have their different preferences as to what kind of beach they would wanna go and hang out. I want a windy beach (with cool breeze and all that), but my sister wants a quiet one. She says she can meditate well if the place is silent… She’s a yoga practitioner, btw, and a quiet beach really helps her do it well.

Fabulous photos. I can't imagine how scary it must have been to have to deal with an unpleasant Moroccan policeman.
