A fabulous day for a drive out to the east end of Long Island, meandering along the country road of the North Fork to Greenport where there was a massive Maritime Festival going on.
All the market gardens, vineyards and nurseries were jam packed with Harvest revellers, fields of ripe corn and pumpkins as far as the eye could see.
Greenport was jam packed too with people, market and food stalls, live music, boats of all shapes and sizes and a bunch of pirates putting on a dramatic show.
