We took the "kids" and went walkabout in NYC today. Started off at Grand Central Station, cruised to Bryant Park, from there to Times Square and up Broadway and 6th Ave. Grabbed a bit to eat and headed to Rockefeller Center where they were in the middle of getting the "Tree" all primped and dressed and then cruised on to Central Park. - check out the Zamboni doing it's thing on the icerink!
We were a camera happy crowd, David with his new Canon 7D, Clare with her borrowed (my old) Nikon and DH and I wandering about with our usual 5D and Lumix.
The City was strangely uncrowded. Not sure if everyone was wending their way home after Thanksgiving or the the tourists were just betwixt and between holidays, but it was a rare and pleasant day to be cruising the streets, looking at all the fabulous windows and just enjoying the slightly above freezing temps!!
No uber stellar pics but some that were fun. Catching the janitor vacuuming the steps of the Penninsular Hotel, strollers by the Louis Vuitton window, glittery buckles of the Fendi Store, lighting in the atrium at Sony and of course, the fabulous and OH so to die for and super creative Anthropologie windows....
wow. I hadn't seen this post before. These are stunning. How can you say they aren't uber? I want that buckle. The 'kids' are ALRIGHT.
