As the sun was setting this evening I spied some new arrivals to our lake ... 6 lovely chicks on what appeared to be, perhaps, their first outing from the nest, with Mum and Dad.
The Family wasn't to keen on the stranger with the long lens perched at the end of the dock and quickly swam in the other direction once they saw me, but I am hopeful that with a little more patience I can get some better shots of these new neighbours and document their progress over Summer.
LOL at the comment from Bren ~ I actually have lots of photos with PEOPLE turning their backs to me :-)
this is a great capture, no matter which way they are swimming. Gorgeous water, looks to be a perfect evening to take the family out.

Again you captured the perfect moment with your camera. Love how mindful you are of everything in order not to miss these moments.
