I guess it's a little like everything, you go to some place new and you, as bystanders have to endure MORE happy travel photos ...
So if it's boring, then I apologise in advance.
So, for afficionados of the old school, who can remember the fabulous movie with Yule Brenner in the "King and I".... this is a photo of Ho Withun Thasana (aka the Sage's Lookout) located in the grounds of the Summer Palace, constructed by King Chulalongkorn.
My modern day snap of the same structure serves as a great reminder of the stellar efforts of the architects in those times and how valiantly the structure has survived since the 1880's!
I snapped many pix of inside and out, but the interior staircase was the notable element that drew my attention...
