In the few months that we have been living on the Lake the sunset seems to have moved across the horizon significantly. I am sure there are better students of solar/planetary behaviour than me who can explain this phenomenon because I guess the sun always sets in the West.... and that don't move!
Regardless, the evening views across the lake are always quite amazing.
Breathless, what a photo! Love those last moments of the day

Wow. Wow wow wow.You live in a lovely place.
Well, the deal is.. the earth is pretty much round, but not perfectly, and it doesn't situation itself truly perpendicular to the sun, so there is a constant shift in the position of us relative to the sun and sometimes it's just amazing that in two or three days things can have moved quite a bit! I believe the earth moves faster during our summer, as well. however, I might have it the opposite way round.
but not perfectly

Beautiful photo! The earth is tilted on it's axis in relation to the sun. So, the arc of the sun does shift. And the exact spot of sunrise and sunset shifts along with it. Not sure if I'm saying it clearly, but hope that helps.
