Today dawned fair and bright so it was decided to head down to the Jersey Shore in order to catch the Clownfest at Seaside Heights.
Little did we know that the traffic would be horrible and what should have been a 2hr ride took nearly 3.5hrs!
However once we were there we were amply rewarded by a fabulous parade of clowns - from young to old, large to small and all varieties inbetween.
The boardwalk and funfair were all busy and good for picture taking too. I've never been to the Jersey beaches before and Seaside Heights was quite a revelation. In many ways quite akin to Blackpool in the UK where I visited recently, and definitely a lot busier and more interesting than Coney Island.
The footwear on show was fairly large and dramatic too..... All in all a fun day out!!
